We offer five different service models
Levels of Service
Linder & Associates (LA) have provided clinical behavioural psychological services to community and residential agencies for over 40 years. Safe Management Group Inc. (SMG), a partner company to LA, has provided staff crisis intervention training for over 30 years. These companies have developed a substantial level of expertise in treating children, adolescents, and adults with severe behavioural disorders (SBD) in all types of situations including homes, community and residential agencies, hospitals and schools. We offer five different service models (Levels) based on the needs of the individual, caregivers and the community.
Level One
General Behaviour Therapy consultation is provided to a service agency on how to utilize basic principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to enhance the quality of their program. No specific clients are discussed or receive consultation.

Level Two
Behaviour Therapy consultation is provided for an individual. Consent for services must be obtained by the client or their substitute decision maker. A Behaviour Assessment Report (BAR) is completed at the outset of services. The behaviour therapist then develops a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) based on the outcome of the initial assessment. This service includes ongoing consultation, supervision and revision of the BSP.
PROVIDER: Linder and Associates
Level Three
This level includes all the services provided in Level 2, with the addition of a Behaviour Therapist Assistant (BTA). The BTA is an extension of the clinical team that provides “on the floor” staff training, data collection, and coaching on implementation of the BSP.

Level Four
This level includes all the services provided in Level 3, with the addition of Behaviour Support Specialists (BSS) who are responsible for implementing all procedures outlined in the BSP. The BSS can implement programming in replacement of, or alongside, the individual’s current front-line staff or caregivers.
PROVIDER: Linder and Associates – SMG
Level Five
This level includes all the services provided in Level 4, but the individual receives treatment services in a residential treatment home run exclusively by SMG. Services are provided until the individual meets their treatment goals and the community is ready to support the individual once again. Typically, a lower level of service is engaged upon discharge.

OVERVIEW & BACKGROUND
Treatment Models
Phase I – Behavioural Stabilization
Because most or all clients display severe, daily, risk behaviours that substantially lower quality of life, the initial focus of treatment is on stabilizing such behaviours, in order to enable safe implementation of more advanced, psychological treatments later.
Phase II –Psychological Treatment & Skill Development
Once rates of problem behaviour have stabilized, phase two of treatment is initiated. In this phase, an assessment of the client’s skills ranging from activities of daily living, to social/communication and lastly, social-emotional/coping skills is completed, and skill acquisition plans are developed and implemented.
Phase III –Community Re-integration
In this phase, the client is prepared for discharge back into the community, or the transition of services back to the community team, by systematically changing the environment to match that of the discharge environment.

Training and Credentials: Registered Behaviour Analysts & Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts.

Behaviour Therapy Assistants
Activities: Staff training, data collection, and coaching implementation of all treatment plans “on the floor”.
Behaviour Support Specialists
Activities: Implementation of all treatment plans, data collection.
Crisis Intervention Trainers
Activities: Design, staff training in all crisis intervention techniques that accompany treatment plans.
